Working with Ingrid Pollard ::::::
Turner Prize nominated artist Ingrid Pollard whose work combines portrait photography and traditional landscape imagery to explore social constructs such as Britishness or racial difference, worked with the ArtLab team on the There Was Much Interruption, a 10-metre-long print which was shown in Carte de Visite, curated by Lubaina Himid at Hollybush Gardens in 2015. In 2019 the print was produced again in a new colour combination and extended in size to 20 metres in length, this final artefact was premiered in The Lie of the Land the exhibition marking the reopening of Milton Keynes Gallery. This new body of work extended her two-dimensional approach as photographer to a three dimensional sculptural presentation. Ingrid was selected as one of the artists for the Baltic Artists’ Award 2019 and won a Paul Hamlyn Award in 2019.
