Working with Woolwich Print Fair: Women In Print Editions Collection ::::::

In 2024 Artlab Contemporary Print Studios proudly launched a new partnership with Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair creating a new prize to award one artist from the Curated Hang exhibition a two week residency as part of the Women In Print project.

To launch the new partnership curators and artists from the project joined director Lizzie Glendinning for an In Conversation as part of the fair’s extended programme. Together they discussed the significance of the Women In Print project, and how contemporary print significantly contributes to an expanded fine art practice.

November 2025 was the 10th Year anniversary edition of the fair and we were proud to present the exclusive public launch of the ground-breaking Women In Print Editions collection.

Featured artists included Lubaina Himid, Helen Cammock, Heather Peak, Rebecca Chesney, Artist A & Artist B, Jenny Steele, Emily Speed, Emma Gregory, Alicia Paz, Anna Júlía Friðjörnsdóttir and Sana Obaid who was our recipient of the inaugural Women In Print Award.

Zinta Jaunitis was awarded our second Women In Print Award for her expanded concertina printed screen – This Late Hour, 2025.

The Women In Print project was also featured and published by arts journalist and editor Holly E. J. Black for The World of Interiors, titled “Gwyneth Alban Davis: a pioneering postwar printmaker” coinciding with the fairs 10 year celebrations.

Lubaina Himid and Magda Stawarska joined Holly Black for an insightful conversation to close the talks programme for the Fair’s milestone edition, serving as a special highlight that explored the complex history of print, collaborative practices, and storytelling.
