Sana Obaid ::::::

Sana Obaid is a trans-disciplinary artist whose artistic practice stems from personal observation on everyday life, revealing the extraordinary within the ordinary. Trained in traditional miniature painting at the National College of Arts in Lahore, Sana uses precision and repetition turning art-making into a spiritual and meditative act. Sana was awarded the inaugural Artlab Contemporary Print Prize at 2024 Woolwich Print Fair.

During her residency, Sana worked with the research team to develop an exciting new body of work exploring materials through a heightened awareness of body and surroundings – ‘giving form to that which cannot be put into words’.

Through a natural curiosity and an openness to explore new techniques Sana experimented with Lithography, Screenprint, Monotype and Polymer Gravure. Sana says she is ‘constantly driven by a passion for expanding my skill set.  Experimentation excites me – it keeps me engaged and alive’

During the second stage of her residency,  Sana continued her openness to explore new techniques, expanding her practice and interest in combining text and imagery with a deeper focus on ritual and awareness of her own body.

Her unique edition print will be showcased at 2026 Woolwich print fair.
